DEHN at the A+A trade fair 2015
From October 27 to 30, 2015, DEHN will demonstrate its competence in the field of safety equipment at the international trade fair for occupational health and safety (A+A) in Duesseldorf (hall 07A, booth F05). Numerous practical applications and solutions will underline the company’s broad range of products, protective devices and equipment including the active DEHNshort arc fault protection system for low-voltage switchgear installations, the DEHNcare® personal protective equipment for passive arc fault protection as well as earthing and short-circuiting devices with aluminium cable, to name just a few.
The DEHNcare® personal protective equipment is tested to international standards. The complete equipment consists of a safety helmet with integrated arc-fault-resistant face shield made of nanoparticles, gloves and a protective suit (trousers and jacket) or a protective coat – all of them made of leather and neoprene - and provides maximum protection and excellent wearing comfort.
At the A+A 2015, DEHN will present the new APS-T visor for the first time. The visor offers enhanced visibility thanks to a new transparent chin protector and the anti-mist coating allows work even in sweaty environments. All-round visibility, protection even if scratched, anti-mist coating, light transmittance of 80 % in the protected area, optimised protection thanks to a narrow ergonomic design as well as easy and fast fixing at the helmet make the visor an ideal supplement to DEHN’s portfolio of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Protection of the hand and forearm region - The new arc-fault-tested APG L glove protects workers in areas with the highest risk! Moreover, the long proven arc-fault-tested protective glove is now also available with long gauntlet. The special cut ensures excellent fit, the soft leather glove palm provides high touch sensitivity and the breathable materials maximise wearing comfort.
DEHNshort – an arc fault protection system for low-voltage installations consisting of a detection system and a short-circuiting unit – is an innovative product for the protection of installations. The detection system, which can be integrated in the switchgear cabinet door, and the short-circuiting unit take up little space. Consequently, DEHNshort provides a high degree of protection for installations in minimum space. It allows fast and safe disconnection of installations in case of an arc fault, thus preventing long downtime and the resulting follow-up costs. DEHNshort detects an arc fault as it develops and quenches it in a split second so that its effects are limited to a safe level.
The weight-reduced cable of the new aluminium earthing and short-circuiting device (single-pole, 70mm²) is considerably easier to transport and use when earthing and short-circuiting switchgear installations and overhead lines. In view of the greatly increased copper prices, the use of aluminium prevents material theft and the resulting property damage.
Moreover, DEHN offers a wide spectrum of safety devices including earthing and short-circuiting devices, voltage detectors, switching sticks, fuse tongs as well as insulating and earthing sticks. The safety devices and equipment are tested and manufactured in line with the requirements of applicable standards.
